The indoor pool and mini golf were fun for the kids, and the location was great. Our room had a musty smell, and cleanliness needs improvement. There were noisy guests late at night during our stay.

The kids loved the pools and the mini golf, super fun. The noise from the hallways was really disruptive at night. Definitely check pool hours, as they close earlier than expected.

The Francis Scott Key Family Resort offers a fantastic indoor/outdoor pool experience and a variety of nearby dining options. The friendly bartender at the outdoor pool made our time relaxing. We appreciated the proximity to the beach and local attractions, making it perfect for families.

We found ants everywhere, even on our toiletries! The cleaning staff didn’t check back after spraying, and it ruined our experience. It was supposed to be relaxing, but turned into a hassle.

The room was spacious, featuring double beds and a pull-out couch, perfect for our family of five. It was quiet, allowing us to relax after busy days. The air conditioning helped, but the musty smell lingered. While the bedding seemed clean, the bathroom felt cramped and had a moldy odor. Noise from adjacent rooms was noticeable; walls felt thin. Staff was accommodating, especially one young woman at the front desk who was exceptionally nice and helpful. More attention to cleanliness is needed, especially for the floors, which left our feet black after walking barefoot.

The shuttle service was a breeze, with super friendly drivers making our outgoing adventures hassle-free! We loved how everything we needed was just a short walk away, plus the outdoor pool food was *chef's kiss*! My daughter couldn't get enough of the playground and water park – pure joy for the whole family!
Totally recommend! 😊❤️

The indoor pool is great for kids and offers life jackets. The location is perfect with easy beach access and fun facilities like basketball and a movie theater.
Some staff were not very friendly.

Great location. It’s conveniently close to shopping and dining, with a shuttle to the beach. The heated indoor pool was enjoyable when it was less crowded. The kids loved Mermaid Week and the various on-site activities. the property has significant drawbacks. Dirty washcloths were left hanging, and the bathroom was poorly maintained. Fights broke out during our stay, raising safety concerns. The outdated facility desperately needs maintenance; doors are warped and walls are thin. At this price point, you expect more. This place has potential but must address its serious issues. With improvements, it could truly shine. I hope they take these critiques seriously.

I absolutely loved how conveniently everything was within walking distance, with the beautiful Ocean City boardwalk right nearby, perfect for leisurely strolls and soaking in the seaside vibes, plus there’s a lovely lake with picnic tables just next to the hotel for a relaxing break; the hotel also had great amenities like an indoor pool and fun movie nights that kept our weekends exciting, but it would’ve been nice if we had been placed closer to our group despite making a special request.

The hotel is super close to the beach and a few steps from the Tanger Outlets which is perfect for shopping, plus it’s surrounded by great restaurants like Tequila Mockingbird and Panera Bread. There’s plenty for families to do with awesome attractions nearby like Embers Island Mini Golf just a short drive away, and Ocean City Boardwalk and the fun Jolly Roger amusement park only minutes away. The hotel has pools and a great ambiance which makes it a nice spot to come back to after a day of adventure, but the rooms could use a bit of maintenance.

Great pools and hot tubs, plus a fun putt-putt course. The staff are friendly and always ready to help.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but worth it.

The kids had a blast on the playground and swimming in the pools. The rooms were spacious, allowing the little ones to run around freely.
My wife says that more kid-friendly activities could enhance the family experience.

Just wanted to share my experience staying at Francis Scott recently. The room we stayed in was equipped with ironing facilities, which was convenient for making sure our clothes looked presentable. I did notice that the heating and air conditioning system seemed a bit outdated and struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature in the room. It would have been nice to have more control over the room's climate. the room did come with tea and coffee facilities, which was a nice touch for enjoying a hot beverage in the morning. The sitting area was cozy, but the lack of garden furniture was a bit disappointing as I enjoy sitting outside to relax. As for amenities, I was glad to find free toiletries provided in the bathroom. the cookware and kitchen utensils in the kitchenette were lacking, making it challenging to prepare meals. An electric kettle would have been a nice addition for quick hot water. I did appreciate the presence of an AM/FM alarm clock for keeping track of time, and the flat-screen TV was a good source of entertainment. Although the carpeted floor added some warmth to the room, it appeared stained and could have used a thorough cleaning. Regarding laundry facilities, they were not easily accessible, and the shuttle service provided was not as reliable as expected. I found myself waiting longer than anticipated for the free shuttle service, which was a bit frustrating. while there were some positive aspects of my stay at Francis Scott, such as the provided toiletries and entertainment options, there are areas that could be improved, like the outdated heating system and inadequate kitchen amenities. It was an average experience overall.

A reunion with 15 family members felt right at home in a laid-back atmosphere, perfect for kids and gatherings. We loved the picnic area and the shuttle to the beach—just a quick ride away for those stunning sunrises. The indoor pool was a hit with my kids, but cleanliness was lacking; we found musty odors and hair floating around. Still, it was a solid choice for our family, with plenty to do, even if some details need attention.

Had an awesome time at a family resort last New Year's! The location was prime, super close to the beach and tons of restaurants. The activities they had were a hit , free beach shuttle, indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, basketball. The staff was top, notch, making sure we had a blast throughout our stay.
The beds and pillows were a bit of a letdown , so hard and uncomfortable, felt like sleeping on rocks. Some noise issues disrupted our first night's sleep, but thankfully, it quieted down for the rest of the week.

stayed at francis scott key family resort in early june & was excited to visit for the first time! loved the free shuttle service to the boardwalk, close to the beach, shopping and food. the three different water/pool areas, free mini-golf, and the playground were a big hit with my family. the indoor pool area was great and open late, and we enjoyed the onsite food which was reasonably priced. the staff we interacted with were very friendly.
Couldn't find any faults at all 😊

Playing mini, golf among octopuses and waterfalls was a blast. The dinghy, themed hot tub made me feel like I was on a luxurious pirate ship.
I loved the basketball court used for parking hot rods instead of playing.

Our stay at the family-friendly resort was enjoyable, with themed activities for the kids, a fantastic indoor pool with water play, and drinks at the bar. The convenient location allowed us to walk to the beach and nearby attractions. We were happy overall and would recommend this hotel.

Pools were lit, and the mini-golf was a vibe. Chilling on our private deck was dope with views of a fishing pond. Perfect for a chill vacay.
Would've loved a rad nightclub on-site for epic party nights! .

During our romantic escape, we appreciated the friendly staff and the reasonable prices. The fully equipped kitchen in our room and the consistent hot water in the bathroom were great conveniences. the flexibility with check-in times was a bonus.
Our son developed hives after swimming twice, leading us to leave early.

the resort was clean and cozy, and the location was great – only about a mile from the boardwalk. we found some cool local spots for food. but the standout was the super social bar tender who made us feel like 5-star celebrities.
Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing time at this family-friendly resort in Ocean City. The location was perfect, right across from the outlets, in a nice and quiet area. The staff was friendly and helpful, making our check-in fast and easy. The resort had everything we needed, from a heated swimming pool to a game room and children's play area. The themed activities for the kids were a big hit, and the indoor pool with water slides was a blast. Plus, being so close to the beach and OC boardwalk made it even better.
That our room was on the 2nd floor, which made it a bit difficult with a three-year-old and the stairs. It would have been more convenient on the first floor.
Excellent
